IB Business Management courses

IB Business Management (first exams 2024) has five units: introduction to business management, human resource management, finance and accounts, marketing, and operations management, with a decision-making toolkit used throughout. Standard Level covers 150 teaching hours and Higher Level 240. The HL extension adds topics such as organisational culture, budgets, sales forecasting, international marketing, lean production and crisis management, and HL sits Paper 3, on a social enterprise. Paper 1 is a case study from a pre-released statement and Paper 2 has a quantitative focus. The internal assessment is a business research project of up to 1,800 words on a real organisation, analysed through one key concept: change, creativity, ethics or sustainability.

Offered at Standard and Higher Level; each course below says which.
